In working on setting up the market in Austin for Rollin’ Gelato, we are fixing up the 1972 RG VW bus. Just like the 1976 RG VW Bus in Kalamazoo, we worked on the brakes first. Thus, the bus went into the mechanic this past week, and we replaced the brake master cylinder (it was leaking, and leaking). Now we feel more comfortable the bus will stop when putting 1,000 lbs of equipment in it. A bonus: the engine still runs nicely 🙂
The bus will be getting a new license plate soon — “GELATO”. Yeah!!!
