In the beginning of January, our son Martin (college student at Michigan Technological University) has been working on removing the kitchen wood floors and walls in our RG shop located in Calumet. He would go up there to spend about two to three hours about every three days removing the floor using just a hammer and a crowbar. It was his first time removing wood flooring, so he took his time. Below are a couple of photos of his work.
In February, John and Nate, who is one of the owners of Keweenaw Coffee Works, came by to help remove the rest of the flooring. And this time, with a saw. This sped up the process. We managed to remove all of the wood flooring and wall one week before the end of February. That’s one project off the project list for our Calumet RG shop. Stay tune for additional updates on the building.
